MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) _ Robert Half International Inc. (RHI) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $170.9 million.

The Menlo Park, California-based company said it had net income of $1.53 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.40 per share.

The staffing firm posted revenue of $1.71 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.65 billion.
