Rosenbauer International : Presents a New Forest Fire Protective Suit

With the GAROS G10, Rosenbauer is launching its lightest protective suit to date. Available in two versions either for only forest fire operations or as a combined forest fire and rescue operation protective suit (GAROS G10 TR variant) it combines minimal weight (well below 2 kg for jacket and trousers) and maximum freedom of movement with optimal wearing comfort. Thanks to the ergonomic cut and excellent ventilation, even long, physically demanding deployments in the sweltering summer heat are possible without tiring.

With regard to flame and heat resistance, the GAROS G10 meets both the forest fire standard EN ISO 15384 (protective clothing for firefighting outdoors and related activities) and EN ISO 11612, in which the requirements for protection against brief exposure to high temperatures, such as sparks, falling branches, or hot objects are laid out. In addition, the protective suit for rescue operations (GAROS G10 TR) offers increased visibility in accordance with EN ISO 16689.

Light, flexible, breathable

The new protective suit has a single-layer fabric structure made from a viscose-aramid antistatic mixture, which feels particularly comfortable on the skin. The thin layer of fabric reliably dissipates body heat to the exterior, while additional ventilation openings under the armpits ensure efficient heat and moisture dissipation. The patched, breathable reflective stripes also help to prevent heat build-up. Overall, the vapor permeability of the GAROS G10 is more than four times better than that of waterproof protective firefighting suits.

The GAROS G10 owes its good fit primarily to the special, ergonomic cut (Ergocut, based on the cut of the top Rosenbauer products FIRE FLEX and GAROS G30). In order to facilitate movement as best as possible, the jacket's elbow areas and shoulder joints are also preformed. The use of stretchable fabric in the armpit area allows the arms to be raised without restriction and prevents the jacket from slipping. The trousers are also preformed in the knee area and specially reinforced for kneeling activities.

Multicolored design

The design scheme of the GAROS G10 is also based on the top products FIRE FLEX and GAROS G30. The protective suit for wildland fire fighting is single-colored (black-blue or gold), the combined wildland fire/rescue operation suit GAROS G10 TR is two-colored (black-blue/yellow, gold/yellow), with the yellow shoulder area ensuring particularly high visibility in the dark and in poor visibility conditions.

Basically, there are two designs available with a premium variant in addition to the standard, in which the suits are equipped with collar adjustment (completely closable), sleeve width adjustment, leg width adjustment, second breast pocket, etc.

GAROS G10 and GAROS G10 TR are available in finely stepped sizes and lengths: the jackets are available in double sizes from 40/42 to 66/70, the trousers in single sizes from 40 to 70, and both are available in five different lengths (A - E). The new protective suits will be available at the beginning of July.
