RN-Vankor (an enterprise of Rosneft's oil production complex) has saved more than 294 million kWh of electricity in five years of its energy saving programme. The economic gain exceeded 692 million roubles. The enterprise's specialists implemented 1,164 energy saving measures at the end of 2021, the effect of which was estimated at 116 million roubles.

Rosneft carries out systematic work on utilisation of resources and reduction of energy consumption, with energy saving being one of the most important elements of its strategy. The Company is focused on improving the performance of production assets and introducing new technologies.

RN-Vankor's energy saving programme takes into account the specifics of fuel and energy resource consumption at the Vankor cluster facilities, which are being developed in the Polar region using the most modern infrastructure in terms of energy efficiency. Production facilities are optimised every year to determine the energy efficiency potential of technological processes, and highly efficient equipment and energy-saving oil production technologies are introduced.

The highest efficiency figure in 2022 is obtained by realising the energy-saving potential on the mechanised well stock. The optimal selection of equipment resulted in savings of over 12 million kWh, or 45.7 million roubles. The effect of reducing energy losses by optimising the operation mode and upgrading the pumping equipment in the onshore infrastructure exceeded 38 million roubles.

RN-Vankor's high performance is confirmed by a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO 50001:2018.
