Royal BAM : BAM appoints Chief Business Excellence Officer; Executive Committee complete

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 15 April 2019 - The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Mr S. (Simon) Finnie as Chief Business Excellence Officer. This appointment completes the Executive Committee, as previously announced.
Simon Finnie (1974) has over 20 years' experience of designing and delivering sustainable operational transformation and cost efficiency across a wide range of sectors. He has recently been an Executive Director at both Laing O'Rourke and Kier Group, both large construction companies in the UK, where he was responsible for driving strategic improvements. As Chief Business Excellence Officer, Simon Finnie will be responsible for further improvement of BAM's tender procedures, the realisation of procurement synergies, the acceleration of digital construction and the improvement of the management of, especially, larger projects. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Warwick Business School.
The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group consists of:
the two-person Executive Board (CEO Rob van Wingerden and CFO Frans den Houter);
two Chief Operating Officers (Joost Nelis as COO for the business line Construction and Property, and Roel Vollebregt as COO for the business line Civil engineering);
Chief Business Excellence Officer Simon Finnie; and
Chief HR Officer Sven Van de Wynkele.

Royal BAM Group N.V. is a building and public works group. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- buildings and civil engineering infrastructure construction (88.3%): roads, highways, airports, tunnels, railways, residences, hospitals, schools, offices, businesses, etc. The group also develops subcontracted mechanical and electrical installations implementation activity;

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the Netherlands (47.9%), the United Kingdom (42.7%), Ireland (7.4%), Belgium (1.9%) and other (0.1%).
