  • Shares in Imtech Belgium Holding B.V. sold to Cordeel Groep
  • Shares in Imtech Toegangstechniek B.V. sold to Agta Record AG

Amsterdam (the Netherlands), 19 August 2015 - The trustees of Imtech Benelux Group B.V. on 19 August closed an acquisition agreement with the Belgian construction company Cordeel Groep. Cordeel Groep has acquired the shares in Imtech Belgium Holding N.V. and Imtech België B.V.

The trustees are pleased to announce that this secures the jobs of around 800 Imtech employees. It has also safeguarded considerable interests on the part of the companies' creditors and principals. As a result there is no need to use the bank guarantees amounting to EUR 24,000,000.

With the approval of the trustees, on 19 August 2015 the banks sold the shares in Imtech Toegangstechniek B.V. to Record Holding Nederland B.V., a subsidiary of Agta Record AG. This Switzerland-listed company is a global player in the field of automated doors.

The trustees expect they will be able to announce one or more additional share transactions later this week. A positive effect is that it was possible to pay the salaries at Imtech Industrial Services B.V. and Imtech Industry International B.V. this week after the banks unfroze the bank accounts of these divisions.

All share transactions executed and yet to be executed will not benefit the shareholders of Royal Imtech N.V.

In the Netherlands, Imtech Building Services B.V. was declared bankrupt on 18 August 2015. As a result 1,200 employees will lose their job. There is considerable interest in the assets and activities of Imtech Building Services B.V.

You can find this press release and an overview of the entities that have been transferred, broken down by division, on the website www.imtech.com.
