Atresmedia's net revenue from January to June 2021 totalled €464.8 million, an increase of 24.0 per cent compared to the same period last year (H1/2020: €374.9 million).
While the Spanish economy recovers from the financial impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Atresmedia's EBITDA totalled €91.2 million for the first half of 2021, more than double the amount compared to the first half of 2020 (H1/2020: €42.8 million). Its consolidated profits for the first six months of 2021 was €62.5 million, €39.8 million higher compared with the same period in 2020.
According to internal estimates, Atresmedia Television's market share was 42.0 per cent from January to June 2021, which is a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to last year. The total audience share of Atresmedia's television channels increased by 1.5 percentage points to 27.6 per cent during the first half of 2021.
The company's main channel Antena 3 achieved a total audience share of 13.9 per cent during the first six months of 2021 and led the prime-time slot with a 16.3 per cent total audience share. Its second channel LaSexta stayed 1.3 points ahead of its main competitor and achieved an average total audience share of 6.7 per cent, or 7.8 per cent in the commercial target audience.
