On 27 July 2021, Groupe M6 published its results for the first half of 2021 with a total revenue of €645.0 million, up 15.7 per cent (H1/2020: €557.3 million). Its advertising revenue increased by 32.1 per cent to €529.1 million (H1/2020: €400.6 million), taking it closer to pre-pandemic levels (H1/2019: €539.3 million).

Groupe M6's EBITA increased by 95.7 per cent to €165.0 million (H1/2020: €84.4), mainly thanks to the growth in advertising revenue. Excluding non-recurring items, Groupe M6's EBITA for the first half of 2021 returned to its H1/2019 level (H1/2021: €148.1 million, H1/2019: €148.3 million). Its operating margin increased to 23.0 per cent (H1/2020: 15.1 per cent), reflecting its strategic refocusing on TV and radio and its flexibility in the management of programming and other costs.

During the first six months of 2021, the average audience share of Groupe M6's TV channels was up 0.6 percentage points to 23.1 per cent in the commercial target group of women under 50 responsible for purchasing compared to the same period last year. The main channel M6 recorded an average audience share of 15.1 per in the commercial target group and retained its position as the second most-watched channel in France.

Groupe M6's radio channels retained their position as the leading commercial radio group in France with an average audience share of 18.1 per cent among listeners aged 13 and over, 4.5 percentage points ahead of its main commercial competitor.
