The results for the third quarter of 2020 were up compared to the same period in 2019, with consolidated revenue of €298.7 million - a year on year increase of 1.4 per cent (Q3/2019: €294.5 million) and consolidated EBITA of €54 million, representing an increase of 58.0 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year (Q3/2019: €34.2 million). A rapid recovery in French consumer spending was seen during the summer period, following the end of lockdown, which the group's advertising activities benefited from.
During the first nine months of 2020, Groupe M6 reported consolidated revenue of €856.1 million representing adecline of 17.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2019 (January to September 2019: €1,009.1 million), due tothe acute impact of the lockdown measures on all Groupe M6 activities. Consolidated EBITA was €138.3 million - a year-on-year decline of 24.2 per cent (January to September 2019: €182.4 million).
