The partnership will mutually enrich M6+, Groupe M6's streaming platform with 26 million unique users, and Pluto TV, the first FAST (free ad-supported streaming) service launched in France.
From an editorial perspective, M6+ users will gain access to 12 channels from Pluto TV, featuring nearly 3,000 hours of content. This includes popular formats such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Just Tattoo Of Us, Baywatch, Blue Bloods, Olive and Tom, MTV Classics as well as channels dedicated to cinema, series and animation.
Meanwhile, Pluto TV users will be able to enjoy six M6 channels, representing 2,000 hours of content, including well-known formats such as Zone Interdite, Turbo, Les reines du shopping (Shopping Queen) and Les Marseillais.
Under the partnership, M6 Publicité, the advertising sales house from Groupe M6, will become Pluto TV's advertising partner in France. They will manage the entire Pluto TV inventory in France and Pluto TV content accessible on M6+. Paramount Advertising in France will also sell Pluto TV inventory alongside M6 Publicité.
Henri de Fontaines, Member of the M6 Executive Board in charge of Strategy, Streaming, and Distribution, says: "As a pioneer of digital television in France, Groupe M6 is accelerating its transformation with its streaming plan around M6+ in response to the growing digital consumption of its content. Successfully launched in May 2024 with a catalogue of Group M6's iconic brands, our AVOD platform is also the destination of choice for the world's biggest audiovisual franchises. We are delighted with our ambitious partnership with Pluto TV, which will allow us to offer even more must-see content to our users. With the significant growth of FAST channels, this is an opportunity for us to get closer to an iconic player in this field. From a commercial point of view, this partnership will strengthen M6 Publicité's position in the French market by offering advertisers even more attractive and complementary solutions."
Olivier Jollet, Executive Vice President and International Managing Director of Pluto TV, adds: "Groupe M6 is an ideal partner, offering a powerful platform, popular content, a large consumer base and strong expertise in advertising sales. By combining their strong presence in France with our FAST capabilities, we aim to create a dynamic and innovative model for consumers and the industry in France, as well as a model for other markets."
M6+ already has ongoing partnerships with Konbini and Hayu, a streaming service owned by NBC Universal. The agreement with Pluto TV will strengthen the role of M6+ as an aggregator of the best video content in France, representing a new stage in Groupe M6's digitalisation plan.
