COLOGNE (dpa-AFX) - Entertainer Stefan Raab (58) is producing his own live show for RTL for the Eurovision Song Contest, but not on the night of the final. Three days before the final, "Chefsache ESC 2025 - Live aus Basel" is to be shown at prime time (Wednesday, May 14 at 8:15 p.m.) on RTL and RTL+.
"Stefan Raab has made this a top priority and, with Abor & Tynna and their hit "Baller", has found the perfect act for the "Mission 12 Points for Germany", RTL announced. "The program accompanies the two of them in the last few meters before the big performance - at rehearsals, backstage and in very personal moments." The RTL show is scheduled for the day between the first semi-final and the second semi-final.
The channel promises: "Together with many celebrity guests, lots of exciting background stories and analyses about the ESC and the expected competition, Stefan Raab is getting Germany in the mood for Europe's biggest music show." The ESC final will take place on May 17 at 9:00 p.m. in Basel, Switzerland.
