Ruffer Investment Company Limited is a Guernsey-based closed-end investment company. The principal objective of the Company is to achieve a positive total annual return, after all expenses, of at least twice the Bank of England base rate. The Company predominantly invests in internationally listed or quoted equities or equity-related securities, including convertibles or bonds which are issued by corporate issuers, supra-nationals or government organizations. Its portfolio of asset allocation includes short-dated bonds, illiquid strategies and options, Non-United Kingdom index-linked, cash, gold exposure and gold equities, long-dated index-linked gilts, commodity exposure, United Kingdom equities, North America equities, Europe equities, Japan equities, Asia ex-Japan equities, other equities. The Company's investment manager and alternative investment fund manager is Ruffer AIFM Limited.
