Rupa & Company Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was INR 3,698.71 million compared to INR 3,056.29 million a year ago. Net income was INR 529.74 million compared to INR 453.95 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.66 compared to INR 5.71 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was INR 5,898.54 million compared to INR 5,154.26 million a year ago. Net income was INR 801.89 million compared to INR 659.72 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 10.08 compared to INR 8.3 a year ago.
Rupa & Company Limited is engaged in the manufacture of hosiery products in knitted undergarments, casual wears and thermal wears. It also has a power generation unit operated on windmill process. It is focused on manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution of innerwear, thermal wear and casual wear for men, women and kids segment. The Company has over 18 sub-brands and 9,000 Stock Keeping Units, which includes brands, such as Frontline, Jon, Macroman, Euro, Bumchums, Torrido, Thermocot, Kidline, Footline and Softline. It also has premium brands, such as Macroman M-Series, Macrowoman W-Series, FCUK and Fruit of the Loom, which include products, such as innerwear, lingerie, active wear and leisurewear. It has four central warehouse facilities located at Kolkata, Tirupur, Bengaluru and Ghaziabad. It has a daily capacity to produce over 700,000 pieces of finished goods. Its products are available through a network of 1,500 dealers with a direct reach across 1,50,000 retail outlets.
