Business description: RWE AG
- electricity and gas trading and distribution (80.5%): electricity (155,903 GWh sold in 2024) and gas (42,316 GWh);
- renewable energy production (16.7%): wind, solar, hydroelectric and biomass energy production (117,801 GWh produced in 2024);
- production of electricity from biomass (4.7%). The group also develops energy storage in battery storage systems and pumped-storage power stations as well as hydrogen production activities.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Germany (46.3%), the United Kingdom (21.9%), Europe (23.9%), North America (6.5%) and other (1.4%).
