S.P. Apparels Limited announced earnings results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was INR 1,873 million compared to INR 2,551.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 187.8 million compared to INR 348.9 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 7.31 compared to INR 13.58 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was INR 2,471.2 million compared to INR 4,802.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 129.6 million compared to INR 422.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 7.3 compared to INR 16.4 a year ago.
S.P.Apparels Limited is an India-based manufacturer and exporter of knitted garments for infants and children. The Company provides end-to-end garment manufacturing services from grey fabric to finished products. It manufactures wearing apparel; preparation and spinning of textile fiber, including weaving of textiles, as well as finishing of textile excluding khadi/handloom. The Company operates approximately 21 factories. The Companyâs subsidiaries include Crocodile Products Private Limited, S.P. Apparels (UK) (P) Limited and S.P.Retail Ventures Limited. Crocodile Products Private Limited is engaged in the business of, inter alia, establishing and managing units to manufacture, trade, deal, import and export garments, and manufacturing, distribution and marketing of menswear products under the trademark Crocodile in India. S.P. Apparels (UK) (P) Limited is engaged in trading activities with customers in the United Kingdom, Ireland and other European countries.
