SOUTHLAKE, Texas (AP) _ Sabre Corp. (SABR) on Tuesday reported a loss of $187.4 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Southlake, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 59 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 25 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 35 cents per share.

The provider of technology services to the travel industry posted revenue of $657.5 million in the period.
