Two appointments to Safran's Executive CommitteeEffective July 1, 2021, Stéphane Cueille is named CEO of Safran Electrical & Power. He takes over from Alain Sauret, who is retiring.

Holding the rank of Ingénieur de l'Armement (defense scientist), Stéphane Cueille was seconded to Snecma1 from 1998 to 2001 to work on ceramic matrix composites (CMC).
He returned to the French defense procurement agency DGA in 2001, taking various management positions in the aircraft propulsion sector. In 2005 he was placed in charge of the Missiles-Space unit in the industrial affairs department (S2IE). In 2008, he returned to Snecma, starting in the turbine blade quality department at the Gennevilliers plant. He was subsequently named repair general manager in Snecma's Military Engine division, then director of the turbine blade center of excellence.
In May 2013 he was appointed Managing Director of Aircelle Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Aircelle2 based in Burnley.
In January 2015 he was named head of Safran Tech, the Group's Research & Technology (R&T) center, and then in 2016 was appointed Senior Executive Vice President R&T and Innovation, also becoming a member of the Safran Executive Committee.
Stéphane Cueille, 49, graduated from the École Polytechnique (1991), and holds a post-graduate degree in solid physics and a PhD in statistical physics (1998).
Effective July 1, 2021, Eric Dalbies is appointed Senior Executive Vice President Research & Technology and Innovation. He takes over from Stéphane Cueille, who has been appointed CEO of Safran Electrical & Power.
Eric Dalbiès joined Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engines) in 1992 at its Space Engine division in Vernon. He held several posts in engineering and programs up to 2005, when he was appointed head of information technology at fellow Group company Turbomeca3. In 2008, he was named deputy CEO and head of Safran's improvement initiatives. In 2013, Eric Dalbiès became Safran Vice President, Strategy and in 2015 was also put in charge of the Group's mergers & acquisitions strategy.
From 2018 until this latest appointment, he was Executive Vice President of Safran Helicopter Engines, and also CEO of Safran Power Units.
Eric Dalbiès is also Chairman of the Board of Directors at ArianeGroup, a joint venture between Airbus and Safran.
Eric Dalbiès, 53, holds degrees from the Ecole Polytechnique (1987) and ISAE-Sup'Aéro (1992) engineering schools.
Other appointments:Effective July 1, 2021, Ghislaine Doukhan is appointed CEO of Safran Power Units, replacing Eric Dalbiès, who has been named Senior Executive Vice President R&T and Innovation. Ghislaine Doukhan also joins the Safran Helicopter Engines Management Committee.
She started her career at Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engines) in 1991 at the International Affairs department, moving to the Production division three years later. She joined Snecma's Economic and Financial Affairs division in 2000, first as head of the Treasury department, then as deputy director of management control.
In 2004 she was named head of the test facilities department in Snecma's Engineering division. In 2007, Ghislaine Doukhan was named head of large turbofan programs in the Commercial Engine division, where she coordinated Snecma's role in collaboration with GE.
She was made head of the Services and MRO unit in 2010, where her actions included setting up a Business Development department and creating the Service Innovation Workshop.
In 2015, Ghislaine Doukhan was appointed head of Safran Analytics, a newly created entity tasked with deriving value from big data.
Ghislaine Doukhan, 54, is a graduate of the HEC business school (1991).
