SAKATA INX CORP.
Notice of the Selection as a Composition Stock of the Index
"FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index"
SAKATA INX CORP. announces that it has been selected as one of the issues to compose the index "FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index."
"FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index" has been built by FTSE Russell which is a global index provider. It is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The index is constructed so that industry or sector weights align with the Japanese equity market.
It supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies' climate governance and climate change efforts with TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) Management Quality Score. Only companies that have made improvements to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases are evaluated and incorporated into the index.
This index is one of the ESG investment indexes adopted by Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF). This is the second ESG index that we have been chosen, which GPIF adopts, followed by the "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index."
SAKATA INX CORP. will continue to enhance corporate value and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
