The Parent Company of Salmones Camanchaca (Camanchaca), reported that its
fishing affiliate Camanchaca Pesca Sur, had a fire affecting the facilities of
the horse mackerel freezing plant in Talcahuano this morning. There is still no
clarity on the causes of the start of the fire, but the fire has not caused any
harm or damage to the people who were there.
The facility has provided no freezing services to Salmones Camanchaca in the
recent years and is not part of Salmones Camanchaca's processing strategy in the
future, therefore there is no impact for Salmones Camanchaca.
Camanchaca is fully insured, including business interruption.
