Senior Vice President and Head of Vattenfall's Business Area Wind, Gunnar Groebler, will leave Vattenfall during the spring of 2021 to become CEO of the German steel and technology company Salzgitter AG.
Gunnar Groebler joined Vattenfall in 1999 and has been essential in making Vattenfall a leading company in renewable energy production.

I'm looking back to a great journey, developing the Vattenfall Wind and Solar business to one of the leaders in this industry and strongly underlining Vattenfall's leading role in the energy transition. In order to secure a smooth transition and handover, Gunnar Groebler will remain in his current role until latest May 2021. The recruitment process for a successor starts immediately.
