Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017. For the period, the company has posted net premium earned of KRW 4,409.2 million against KRW 4,248.2 million a year ago. Operating profit was KRW 653.5 million against KRW 382.3 million a year ago. Net profit before tax was KRW 635.4 million against KRW 370.3 million a year ago. Net profit was KRW 503.0 million against KRW 284.3 million a year ago.
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co Ltd is a Korea-based insurance company specialized in the non-life insurance business. The Companyâs non-life insurance products include fire insurance, marine insurance, technology insurance, automobile insurance, accident insurance, liability insurance, overseas casualty insurance, long-term insurance, personal pension insurance and enterprise insurance, among others. The Company also provides loan services, such as mortgage loans, insurance contract loans and credit loans, emergency relief and claims surveying services. The Company provides its insurance products within domestic market and to overseas markets, such as Indonesia, Brazil, China and others.
