Shares in Toronto were firmly in the red Monday at midday with the S&P/TSX Composite Index down 208.64 points, in step with global markets. Mid-way through the session, all sectors were down except for process industries. Shares in Sandstorm Gold Ltd. bucked the trend, reporting that it logged record revenue in 2021 after selling its highest level of attributable gold ounces.

Canada's S&P/TSX Composite Index was down 0.98% at 20876.02 and the blue-chip S&P/TSX 60 fell 0.92% to 1269.94.

Shares in Sandstorm Gold were up 1.1% at C$7.21 after it said it realized preliminary revenue of $114.8 million in 2021, selling 67,500 attributable gold equivalent ounces in the year.

Other market movers:

Wildpack Beverage Inc. shares rose 1.7% to C$0.59 after it said it expects revenue of $75 million to $85 million in fiscal 2022, and that it aims to increase its operations to 12 facilities from six.
