Göttingen, December 5, 2018 - The ambassador of France to Germany, Anne-Marie Descôtes, visited Sartorius Campus in Göttingen to obtain first-hand information about the development of Sartorius Stedim Biotech. She spoke with the Board of Directors of Sartorius Stedim Biotech headed by CEO Joachim Kreuzburg about the company's rapid growth over more than eleven years since it has been under the Sartorius roof.

'The merger of the two market leaders Stedim Biosystems and Sartorius Bioprocess Technology is a French-German success story - and is viewed as such from the perspective of customers, employees and also shareholders. Over the past decade, Sartorius Stedim Biotech has grown by close to 13% per year, and its share price has increased more than ten-fold. In particular, we have also invested in our French site in Aubagne, where we have approximately quadrupled the number of employees to around 1,000 since 2007,' said Kreuzburg.

In 2007, Sartorius AG had merged its Biotechnology Division with French-based Stedim Biosystems S.A., becoming the majority shareholder of Sartorius Stedim Biotech S.A. Quoted on the Euronext in Paris, the company is a market leader for single-use aseptic bags for biopharmaceutical applications, among other products. Currently, more than 5,600 people work at Sartorius Stedim Biotech worldwide.
