SABIC has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to help create a sound and healthy environment for workers in the industrial cities, besides raising awareness on occupational safety and health and boosting efforts to achieve excellence in protecting life and property.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Fourth Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Conference held in Riyadh from November 15 to 17 under the patronage of Ahmad Sulaiman Alrajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

SABIC participated in the conference as a platinum sponsor. It was attended by a number of representatives from the public and private sectors, besides professionals in the field of safety and security.

SABIC also participated in an exhibition at the event with a pavilion that showcased its state-of-the-art applications that help it ensure a strong security and safety culture at its workplace. It also presented its risk identification and management programs to enhance employees' understanding of basic behaviors that are essential to prevent any hazards.

SABIC's pavilion provided a unique opportunity for its security and safety specialists to meet with their peers participating in the conference and exchange knowledge and experiences for potential cooperation between various institutions and sectors. It also provided a platform for effective dialogues on the most important trends in occupational health.

The agreement is part of the integrated efforts between government agencies and the private sector to raise the level of occupational health at the workplace. Its goal is to adopt the latest standards in risk management as per global trends and contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

SABIC applies the highest standards in occupational safety and health to ensure the protection of its employees across its global sites in more than 50 locations.
