Vodafone Group Plc (LSE:VOD) has said it is still in talks to sell its 55% stake in Vodafone Egypt Telecommunications S.A.E. to Saudi Telecom Company (SASE:7010) for $2.4 billion (£1.9 billion), even though a memorandum of understanding on the deal has expired. The deal was initially struck in January 2020, but delayed because of Covid-19 restrictions. Telecom Egypt Company S.A.E. (CASE:ETEL) owns the other 45% of the business.
