The Saudi Telecom Company, in cooperation with the Saudi government, has launched STC Academy in Riyadh as part of a Vision 2030 plan to build digital skills and enable e-services across Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.

Throughout the academy, digital content runs along the walls, but also wraps around cylindrical and rectangular columns with different parts of the image appearing on the various faces, delivering a 3D experience.

MediaVue technology designed this project, including a SureVue D6 digital media player, four SureVue D4 players, two SureVue D2 players, and four SureVue D1 players. CMS software was provided by Appspace and the LED displays by Sharp/NEC.

MediaVue worked with integrator TechZone during the install process.

"This was a heavily customized installation," Mohamed El Deeb, MediaVue's director of business development–MEA, said in the release. "Our number one priority was ensuring that visitors to the academy were seeing razor sharp imagery from every vantage point. We took into account everything from the shape of each display to the distance and angle from which it would likely be viewed. The aspect of which I'm most proud is how we were able to manage the pixel-to-pixel feed on a flexible LED screen wrapped around a cylinder. It will certainly catch the eye of academy visitors."
