For a nation of tea drinkers, the UK has had something of a love affair with coffee over the years - currently drinking around 75 million cups per day. It's perhaps no surprise then that the UK's capital has developed its own vibrant coffee scene.

Between 2010 and 2020, the number of London independent coffee shops increased by 700 per cent, and this week marks the tenth anniversary of the London Coffee Festival, featuring over 250 artisan coffee and gourmet stalls, tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas.

There's perhaps no better city to enjoy world-class coffee and getting your caffeine fix needn't involve a long commute. The fashionable Notting Hill Coffee Project, for example, is just a stone's throw from the highly sought-after residential area of Hillgate Village.

Meanwhile in Mayfair, Ollie Dabbous' Parisian-style café, Hideaway, has found a permanent home at 100 Mount Street, a short distance from his Michelin-starred restaurant on Piccadilly.

Here, we choose six central London properties within a short walk of our favourite coffee shops.
