Schaffner Group focuses power quality offering on strategic key accounts

Luterbach, Switzerland - 2 July 2020 - The Schaffner Group is repositioning its Power Quality offering, which includes filters for the reliable functioning of electronic devices and systems and the associated services, as of October 1, 2020. From that date, Schaffner will focus on strategic key accounts in the power quality field. They will be served by dedicated teams and the sales structure and processes will be systematically aligned to them. The focus will be on strong customer relationships and long-term, recurring orders.

This focusing will reduce the EMC Division's sales for the 2020/21 financial year in the mid single-digit million range but will further improve the division's profitability. As part of the restructuring, Schaffner will streamline development, sales and service for its power quality products. This will result in a reduction of 17 full-time positions, four of which will be in Switzerland.

Marc Aeschlimann, CEO of Schaffner Group, emphasizes: "With this step, we are focusing on the strengths of our power quality offering and will become more efficient and effective. Focusing on strategic key accounts not only allows us to better serve these key customers, but also lays the foundations for a sustained profitable performance of this business".
