In her keynote speech at IFA 2022, Gwenaelle Avice-Huet, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer at SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, will talk about saving energy with new smart home technologies.

According to a study by the UN, today Homes represent 20 percent of global CO2 emissions. In her keynote speech at IFA 2022, Gwenaelle Avice-Huet, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer at SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC will discuss and explain how smart home technologies and energy savings can help to reduce CO2 emissions and be part of the solution for a climate positive world.

More than half of consumers want to reduce their household CO2 emissions to zero, according to a 2021 survey commissioned by SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC. In times of rising energy costs, that is a desirable goal from both a financial and sustainability perspective. Thus for many people around the world, energy and cost efficiency in the home has to be a top priority.

An efficient home

"By combining digitisation and energy, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC empowers consumers and enables them to make their home more efficient and sustainable, while keeping their level of comfort the same, says Gwenaelle Avice-Huet, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer at SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC. "That is the Home of the Future we are innovating for, with smart home energy management at the heart. We want to give everybody access to a sustainable future and continue to decarbonise our planet."

In her keynote speech entitled 'Smart Home is a Smart Option for a Sustainable Future' Avice-Huet, who in 2018 was nominated as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and awarded Knight of the French Order of Merit in 2019, will discuss the impact of our daily lives, our mindset, consumer behaviour on the global climate change and how we ensure that everyone in society can benefit from smart home energy technologies and enjoy a more sustainable home.

Visitors to IFA 2022 can find out about the smart technologies being developed by SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC on the company's stand in Hall 5.2a | 123.

Gwenaelle Avice-Huet from Schneider Electric will hold her keynote speech on 3 September at 5 p.m on the IFA convention stage in hall 23.
