Schneider National : Driver’s daughter visits Schneider to celebrate bronze medal win

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin - (September 20, 2021) - Schneider (NYSE: SNDR), a premier provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services, is known for its trademark orange brand color. However, red, white and blue were also on full display today at the company's Green Bay headquarters in honor of three special guests: Olympic diver Krysta Palmer and her parents, Schneider driver Mitch Palmer and his wife Vicki. The family spent the day celebrating Krysta's recent bronze medal win at the Tokyo Games with the associates who rallied behind them during their Olympic journey.

"The most valuable thing in my career is having my parents share this experience with me, and Schneider has allowed my parents to be routed to all my competitions and nationals and Olympic trials," said Krysta. "It's very special for me to have them there sharing in this dream with me because they're a big part of my tribe. That's how we've been able to make this dream come true."

Last month, Krysta made history in the Tokyo Games as the first American woman to medal in the women's individual 3-meter springboard event since 1988. Because COVID-19 protocols prevented family members from traveling to Japan, Mitch and Vicki watched her win the bronze from their hometown of Carson City, Nevada. However, Schneider made it possible for them to be in the stands as she qualified for the Olympics by routing Mitch with loads near Krysta's competitions.

"This has been a lifelong dream for Krysta to go to the Olympics," said Mitch. "She's always wanted to be an Olympian, and I think the medal really topped it all off. Schneider sent us to different locations for her competitions leading up to the Olympics. We've been able to go to Indianapolis to see her compete or to Orlando or to Atlanta or to any number of other cities."

During the Palmers' visit, Schneider honored them with a special Sound the Horn event, which is the company's long-standing tradition for celebrating achievements across the enterprise. After addressing hundreds of Mitch's fellow Schneider associates, the Palmers pulled a cord that sent the sound of a truck horn blaring through the office building.

"Krysta really empowers all of us throughout our organization with her determination to hit her goals, the hard work she put in to pursue her dreams and how she never stops improving herself. We're really excited to have her here," said Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President Jim Filter.

The Green Bay Packers invited Krysta to lead the crowd in "Roll out the Barrel" before the fourth quarter of tonight's Packer Lions game at Lambeau Field.
