          Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain
          Officers.

On August 27, 2020, Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. (the "Company") announced that Jeffrey Dyck plans to retire from his position as the Company's Senior Vice President and Co-President, Cascade Steel and Scrap, effective September 1, 2020. Mr. Dyck will continue to serve in an advisory capacity with the Company.
