Schroders is today announcing its support for the WeThe15 campaign, a global movement which aims to represent and transform the lives of the world's 1.2 billion people with disabilities.

Just a few days ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the WeThe15 campaign has brought together a coalition of international organisations from the worlds of sport, human rights, policy, business, arts and entertainment to begin a global movement for disability visibility, accessibility, and inclusion.

Over the next decade, WeThe15 organisations will work with governments, businesses and the public to initiate changes to end discrimination.

In December 2020, Schroders became a member of WeThe15 campaign partner, The Valuable 500, the largest network of global CEOs committed to transforming business supply chains to support all those living with a disability.

Emma Holden, Global Head of Human Resources, Schroders, commented:

'At Schroders, we stand by 15% of our world population - which is 1.2 billion people - who are living with some form of disability through supporting the launch of the WeThe15 campaign. We believe everyone can play a part in creating the change needed.

'We are committed to supporting a truly inclusive culture and this is at the heart of our people strategy. We are proud to be part of The Valuable 500. We believe that businesses still need to make important strides to break down the societal and systemic barriers that are preventing those with disabilities from fulfilling their potential.'
