Secom Co. said that it will launch a security system in June that utilizes a small drone it developed to cover areas that fixed security cameras cannot reach easily. When the system's sensors detect suspicious individuals or cars trying to enter guarded premises, a drone will automatically fly to the area to take pictures of intruders or car license numbers.
The company will also study ways to monitor flying objects such as drones that attempt to enter guarded premises. The new security system will use drones at the premises of its customers in accordance with existing laws, adding that the company will also follow any new regulations.

- safety services (49.1%): installation and maintenance of electronic safety systems (primarily buildings access control systems, explosive control systems, electronic equipments of possessions and persons identification, anti-intrusion alarms), VIP protection, funds and valuable objects transportation, etc.;
- medical services (15.8%): home care services, medicines delivery services, sale of medical equipments, etc.;
- sale, installation and maintenance of protection against fire systems (12.4%);

- geospatial data broadcasting (4.7%);
- development and promotion of real estate assets (2.4%): primarily residential buildings with advanced safety systems.
Japan accounts for 96.1% of net sales.
