Sekerbank T : 25-10-2021 - Synthesis of nature and technology in Şekerbank’s Açıkekran

Şekerbank's Açıkekran New Media Arts Gallery will meet with art lovers this year at Contemporary Istanbul, Turkey's international contemporary art fair that has been going on for 16 years. Volkan Dinçer's video work titled "Environmentally Interactive Synthesizer/Umwelthesizer", which seeks ways to understand nature through art, will be exhibited at the Açıkekran booth as part of the art fair.

Bringing contemporary art out of its center with Açıkekran, Şekerbank will bring its video work together with local people in Anatolia through its branches until 07 January 2022.

Having carried its sustainable banking mission to Açıkekran New Media Arts platform, Turkey's first culture and art initiative focused on new media and video art, Şekerbank brings environmental sustainability to the agenda in its works in the field of art. Volkan Dinçer, one of the young artists of our country, created a work on the protection of environment, titled "Environmentally Interactive Synthesizer/Umwelthesizer", by combining the magnificence of nature, mechanics and sound, will meet with art lovers at Açıkekran's booth no.B1-202 within the scope of 16.Contemporary Istanbul between 7-10 October 2021.

This video work of Volkan Dinçer, who seeks ways to understand nature with art and makes one think about the synthesis of nature and technology, will start in parallel with the fair under the curatorship of Ali Akay and will continue to be shown on special screens in Şekerbank's Istanbul Merkez, Ankara Küçükesat and Kızılay, Tekirdağ Alpullu, Ordu, İzmir, Bodrum, Mardin and Edirne branches until January 7, 2022.

Having developed his own noise technologies, the young artist Volkan Dinçer, who blurs the boundaries of perception with these equipment and creates experience scenes that opens new forms of relationship with the environment, reflects his research on neo-ritualism and noise into his art. In the video titled "Environmentally Interactive Synthesizer/Umwelthesizer", following the visuals of the artist reminding how the sublime of nature as a superhuman being is a part of the most primitive lives, in the second part of the video, the sublimity of nature is revealed by connecting to the sublimity of technology.
