Sherburn Playing Field Association has recently received a generous donation of £2,500 from our Severfield site in Sherburn, North Yorkshire.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, Tanya Oldroyd said: 'We would just like to thank Severfield for the generous gift of £2,500 to the Sherburn Playing Field Association.

We are delighted to have the company's support in our project to develop a new disabled accessible play park in our local community.

Community spirit at its finest

This donation means we will now be able to purchase a disabled accessible roundabout at the play park, which will have a plaque on to state this was purchased through the sponsorship of Severfield. The new roundabout will help to remove exclusion in play, meaning all children in our local community will be able to engage and play freely.

In the near future the happy sounds of children playing will fill the grounds of our new park, and that's all thanks to the support from Severfield and their kind donation.

This generosity will make a lasting difference to the quality of life in the community for all ages to enjoy. Community spirit at its finest.

Once again I would like to thank Severfield on behalf of everyone at Sherburn Playing Field Association and our local community.'

At Severfield, we continually supports local charities at each of our factory and office locations and have our own registered charity, The Severfield Foundation - currently partnered with national charity Alzheimer's Society.
