Shaftesbury has announced that it has appointed CBRE as its sole managing agent, to advise on property management across the entire portfolio.

The shift to a sole management agent continues the evolution towards a more centralised and uniform approach for Shaftesbury. As of this month, CBRE is leading on Chinatown, Fitzrovia, the Opera Quarter and Coliseum, in addition to the existing mandates being handled for Carnaby, Soho and Seven Dials, allowing Shaftesbury to restructure the operational side of the business, to drive efficiency and consistency.

Longer term, this change will enable Shaftesbury to implement additional benefits, which will improve the customer experience, both for occupiers and visitors to its villages.

Tom Welton, Executive Director, commented 'We are delighted to be able to announce this move to a one agent model, in partnership with CBRE.

Having worked with CBRE for a number of years on Carnaby, Soho and Seven Dials, we have first-hand experience of their work, and are excited to be partnering with them across the broader portfolio. This will enable us to operate more effectively for the benefit of our portfolio, our occupiers and ultimately the visitors who enjoy our villages every day.'

Nick Bark, Executive Director, Property Management UK at CBRE commented:

'We look forward to working together in partnership with Shaftesbury to deliver a diverse and highly experienced team to manage what is a truly iconic portfolio, with the aim to further enhance their offering for both occupiers and visitors to London's West End.'
