China Eastern Airlines officially launched its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route between Shanghai and Los Angeles on Jan 15, providing global passengers with comfortable and luxurious travel experience.

The airline will fly the 777-300ER on the daily Shanghai-Los Angeles service, replacing the A332 aircraft.

Flight MU583 is scheduled to take off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 1 pm and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport at 9:05 am, with the return flight MU586 scheduled to take off from Los Angles at 11:30 am and arrive at Shanghai at 5:30 pm the next day (all local time), according to the website of the airline.

China Eastern's 777-300ER features three distinct cabins with 316 seats including 6 first class suits, 52 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 258 economy seats in a 3-4-3 configuration.

The Shanghai-based carrier took delivery of its first 777-300ER in September 2014, becoming the third 777-300ER operator in mainland China following Air China (CA) and China Southern Airlines. To date, the airline has received four of its 20 777-300ERs.

The airline has deployed the 777-300ER on the New York service from Nov. 2014. The carrier plans to have all its North American routes flown with the aircraft, open new routes to North America and also boost frequencies on existing North American routes. The 777-300ER is expected to become the main aircraft type of the airline in the North American market.
