Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries : Equipment for Jeddah-based Project in Saudi Arabia Is Shipped

Recently "Zhenhua 36" carrying 3 quay cranes and 6 rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes has sailed from the wharf of Changxing Branch to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The quay cranes have a track gauge of 30.48 m, a front outreach of 72 m, a back outreach of 23 m, a lifting height of 56 m above the rail and 20 m under the rail. During the manufacturing process, the equipment is applied with a lot of special customized materials considering the high corrosiveness of the geographical environment in Saudi. Thus, the project is under great pressures in completion on schedule. However, the project team actively coordinates with all departments to ensure the successful shipment of the equipment of the project, providing a strong guarantee for the project implementation.

The project includes 6 RTG cranes and started in August 2021. This is the first cooperation between ZPMC and Saudi Aramco, through which ZPMC has a comprehensive understanding of Saudi Aramco's quality management system requirements, laying the foundation for mutual trust and cooperation between the two parties.
