Shanxi Xishan Coal and Electricity Power reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2013. For the nine months, the company reported net profit dropped 49.83% year on year to RMB 962 million, mainly due to a decline in the prices of commercial coal and coke. Operating revenue was RMB 22.18 billion, 4.57% less than in the same period of last year. The company recorded RMB 0.3052 earnings per share.

For the third quarter, the company's net profit recorded a larger decrease of 74.16% year on year to RMB 67.41 million.
