(January 14, 2022) Shimao Group Holdings Limited ("Shimao Group" or the "Company", and its subsidiaries, together the "Group", stock code: 813.HK) is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics for December 2021 as follows:

• The aggregated contracted sales for the year ended 31 December 2021 amounted to RMB269.11 billion and the aggregated contracted sold area amounted to 15,286,329 sq. m.. The average selling price was RMB17,605 per sq. m..
• In December 2021, the Group's contracted sales amounted to approximately RMB11.22 billion and the contracted sold area was 670,724 sq. m.. The average selling price was RMB16,729 per sq. m..

News in brief:

1. Shimao received various corporate social responsibility awards.
   In upholding its development principle of "The responsibility is integrated in the blood", with solid ESG indicator construction, quality green products and continuous practice of corporate social responsibility, Shimao Group has recently received various awards such as the "2021 China Corporate Social Responsibility Observation Report Excellent Case", "Annual Socially Responsible Enterprise", "2021 Star of ESG Green Company", "Annual ESG Leader of Real Estate Sector", etc., demonstrating external recognition of Shimao's performance in the field of corporate social responsibility. In respect of charity, Shimao has donated more than 1.75 billion so far, and its charity projects served population of more than 22 million. In respect of green construction, Shimao has made three commitments - commitment to developing 100% of new projects in accordance with the basic level of green building; commitment to obtaining multiple green building certifications; commitment to not developing agricultural land and to protect the ecological environment. In the future, Shimao will continue to focus on ESG construction, promoting sustainable development of the corporate society and create a better life of people through sustainable management, green development, and the practice of social responsibility.
2. Shimao projects once again won international design awards.
   After receiving the Gold Award of Sustainable Living / Green of MUSE Design Awards, Bengbu Shimao the Cloud Mansion recently won two more awards - the "International Residential Architecture Awards 2021" and the "Outstanding Property Award London 2021". The International Residential Architecture Awards is the most prestigious international architecture award platform. The award selects masterpieces of architecture from all over the world every year, attracting many designers to participate. The Outstanding Property Award London is a global competition that recognizes and rewards outstanding international property developers, architects, and interior designers, and selects creative projects with distinctive features in the field of property development. Various international awards have once again confirmed the recognition and appreciation of Shimao's projects by authoritative institutions.
3. Shimao Maritime Silk Road Museum received the "National Quality Project Award".
   Recently, China Association of Construction Enterprise Management announced the second batch of the National Quality Project Awards 2020-2021. Fujian Shimao Maritime Silk Road Museum, the museum project jointly developed by Shimao Group and the Palace Museum, was awarded "National Quality Project Award". Established in 1981, the National Quality Project Award is the earliest established, highest- standard, cross-industry and cross-professional national quality award in the country's engineering construction field recognized by the State Council. It aims to recognize quality projects with the

characteristics of excellent design, fine quality, good management, high efficiency, advanced technology, energy saving and environmental protection, etc.. Before this, Shimao Maritime Silk Road Museum has received various awards, including the "Engineering Construction Projects Design Level Evaluation - Third-Class Achievement", "Shandong Civil Engineering Science and Technology Award", "CSCEC Cup (Quality Project Gold Award)".
