Venlo, 01 June 2021. Since spring of this year, SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE has been supporting one of the world's largest humanitarian organisations through its own brand RedCare: CARE. Especially during the Corona crisis, one of Europe's leading online pharmacies is thus helping to provide urgently needed support to people in areas hit particularly hard by the crisis.

With its own brand RedCare, SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE has recently started supporting the worldwide emergency aid of the humanitarian organisation CARE. Part of the income from each RedCare product sold is donated to the aid organisation's projects. So far in the first three months, the equivalent of 400 CARE packages with health and hygiene articles have been provided for people in need. Many more are to follow.

'We are pleased that with every RedCare product sold we can support CARE in improving the lives and health of people worldwide. CARE is the right partner for us because the organisation offers a high degree of transparency and we can understand what impact every euro has on the ground,' explains Anna Toennessen, Manager Sustainable Development at SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE.

With its own brand RedCare, the online pharmacy wants to do more: Thanks to its numerous products, RedCare not only cares for the health and well-being of its customers, but now also helps many more people around the world through its cooperation with CARE.

Two Organisations - One Vision.

During the pandemic in particular, aid is needed in places where hunger, poverty and violence prevail, because this is also where the coronavirus spreads rapidly. CARE is helping on the ground, paying special attention to women, girls and refugees, whose needs are often overlooked.

'We are delighted to have found a strong and reliable partner in SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE to support our Corona emergency relief. Every 'CARE package' funded by the campaign is a sign of humanity and solidarity with other regions of the world,' said Judith Albert, Manager Corporate Co-operations at CARE.'

In around 100 countries worldwide, CARE helps where the need is particularly great. As the inventor of the 'CARE packages' after the Second World War, the organisation today provides needs-based rapid aid and, to this end, particularly promotes the rights and participation of women and girls.
