Siemens Mobility said it has secured four infrastructure and maintenance contracts worth 670 million euros ($691.4 million) for a high-speed U.K. rail line connecting London and the West Midlands.

The company said it will install technology enabling semi-automatic train operations for the first time on a high-speed network.

The company will also deliver an engineering management system allowing real-time control and monitoring of railway equipment.

It will also deliver high-voltage power supply systems along the rail route and will take charge of implementing operational telecommunications and security systems for the entire high-speed rail route.

The contracts are expected to start this year and include long-term maintenance agreements, with the potential of including additional options.
