Siemens Mobility announces a €115 million investment to establish a state-of-the-art rail infrastructure manufacturing, digital engineering and research and development (R&D) center in Chippenham, UK.

The new facility, which is due to replace the existing plant in 2026, will be vital for Siemens Mobility's future rail technology projects.

In particular, the site will be used to build the next generation of conventional and digital rail signalling and control systems for Great Britain.

The transition, including the transfer of all local staff of around 800, will not result in any interruption to production, Siemens says.
