Former Head of Key Account Management Power Utilities at Siemens Energy, Alexander Kotschi, stepped into his new position as Country Market Director for Energy in Germany at Ramboll on 1 May.

With a background in the power utilities sector at Siemens and experience with the transition to renewable technologies, Alexander Kotschi is a strong addition to the German Energy team leading the green energy transition. He will continue the innovative work on Power-to-X, energy from waste, district energy and much more.

'Working with Ramboll will be an opportunity to drive the sustainable transition in Germany, and I look forward to seeing which exciting things will come from this. With almost 30 years of experience working with energy at Siemens, it has become clear how crucial the green energy transition is for a sustainable future.

My involvement in the energy sector has amplified my passion for decarbonising industries and communities, and I am thrilled to use my expertise to manage both international and German teams across cultures', says Alexander.

Alexander will take over from Tim Fischer, who has been Energy's interim CMD in Germany since August 2021.

'Our focus in Germany will be to strengthen our team both organically by more than 100 employees over the next four years and by acquisitions', says Hannes Reuter, Managing Director of Ramboll Energy.

In 2022, Ramboll launched a new strategy to be the partner for sustainable change. This includes focus on decarbonising for net zero, which is the main priority of Ramboll's Energy division worldwide. Alexander will be a valued aid in reaching this goal in Germany.
