MADRID (Reuters) - Beleaguered wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa said on Thursday its net loss during the October-December period widened after it had to book an operating charge due to costs related to faulty wind turbine components.
The company's net loss during the period, the first quarter of its 2023 financial year, was 884 million euros ($974 million) and compares to a loss of 403 million euros in the same period in 2021.
Germany's Siemens Energy, which controls Siemens Gamesa, is in the process of delisting the shares of the Spanish-headquartered company.
