Siemens Energy AG (XTRA:ENR) is planning to launch an all-cash bid next week for the remaining stake in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. (BME:SGRE), Bloomberg said on May 17, 2022, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. The Munich-based energy company is said to be planning a full takeover of the struggling business, in which it already holds a 67% stake, and subsequent delisting from the stock market in an effort to better tackle the problems at the Spanish company, the report said. However, a final decision on a bid has not been made.
