June 17 (Reuters) - Russia expects its oil exports to increase in 2022 despite Western sanctions and a European embargo, the Russian deputy energy minister said on Friday, according to Tass news agency.

The European Union has agreed to reduce its purchases of Russian oil by around 90% by the end of 2022 in response to Russia sending troops into Ukraine in what Moscow calls a "special military operation." (Reporting by Reuters; Editing by Edmund Blair)
