SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. announce that it won the bid for the Xicen Water Purification Plant Project in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China recently, with a total investment of approximately RMB 719 million. The Xicen Project is located in Jinze Town, Qingpu District in Shanghai, which is part of the Demonstration Zone of Yangtze River Delta. As a supporting municipal facility for the Huawei Research and Development Center, the Project is to be built completely underground.

It has a discharge standard of Quasi Grade III, and a total designed capacity of 50,000 tonnes per day, with 25,000 tonnes per day in the first phase. It is the underground wastewater treatment plant with the highest discharge standard in the country to date.
