Siltronic AG donates €7,000 to Nepal project

With a company-wide fundraising campaign, Siltronic AG contributed a total of 7,000 euros to this year's virtual Nepal Run organized by the Freiberg high school student company Namaste Nepal.

Over a period of four weeks, employees at all production sites and sales offices were able to support the campaign with their sports achievements. Kilometers were collected in the disciplines of running, cycling, hiking, Nordic walking and swimming. A total of 155 employees from Asia, Europe and the USA participated.

'We believed international participation at the charity run was an exciting idea, and in the end we were happy to see so many of our sites participating actively. The student company is doing remarkable work in Nepal and we are glad to have the opportunity to contribute to it,' said Dr. Christoph von Plotho, CEO of Siltronic AG.

In previous years, the Freiberg site of Siltronic AG has already been actively participating at the high school student company charity run and won the company relay in 2019.
