After eight successful years CFO Fredy Hiltmann has ended his service for SIMONA AG and entered retirement effective from 30 June 2018. At a joint lunch accompanied by a farewell speech he said goodbye to employees at the company's headquarters in Kirn.

Mr. Hiltmann had been a member of the company's Management Board since 1 December 2012, with responsibilities covering the areas of Finance, Controlling, Taxes, Purchasing, IT and Organisation as well as Quality Management. In addition, he was accountable for the Indian market, where SIMONA established its own subsidiary in 2016.

Following Mr. Hiltmann's departure, as from 1 July 2018 the Management Board of the SIMONA Group will, for the time being, consist of CEO Wolfgang Moyses as Chairman and COO Dirk Möller as Deputy Chairman. Mr. Hiltmann will continue to be available to the company in an advisory capacity.

Mr. Hiltmann holds Swiss citizenship. Following vocational training in a business discipline, he went on to complete a degree course in Business Administration and Economics (Betriebsökonom HWV). Prior to joining the Management Board of SIMONA AG, he held management positions at several global companies (e.g. Georg Fischer AG, Metalor Group).

Mr. Hiltmann will be succeeded by Michael Schmitz as the SIMONA Group's new CFO. Mr. Schmitz has served SIMONA for almost 20 years, having held various senior managerial positions at the company during this time. He was appointed Deputy CFO in January 2018 in preparation for his future role.
