Sinclair Broadcast Group Names Darrell Davis as Vice President of Enterprise Business Transformation

Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. announced that Darrell Davis has been named Vice President of Enterprise Business Transformation. In this newly created role, Davis will lead the company's business transformation program across all business functions, leveraging leading business and technology practices to deliver more effective and efficient ways of working and driving ongoing scale and growth. He will help transition the company to a data-driven enterprise, with an eye towards improving profitability, by optimizing end-to-end value-chain processes for operational efficiencies, effectiveness, agility, quality and service, and deploying machine learning and artificial intelligence, enabling the business to cultivate new insights and market expansion. He will report into Brian Bark, SVP Chief Information Officer of Sinclair. Prior to Sinclair, he spent nine years working as Vice President and Chief Process Improvement Officer of Enterprise Process Management at Xcelerate Solutions.
Sinclair, Inc. is a diversified media company and a provider of local news and sports. The Company operates through two segments: Local Media, and Tennis. Its Local Media segment is comprised of its television stations. It produces more than 2,400 hours of news per week at 115 stations in 73 markets. Its Tennis segment primarily consists of Tennis Channel, a cable network which includes coverage of many of tennis' top tournaments and original professional sports and tennis lifestyle shows. Its content is delivered via multiple platforms, including over-the-air, multi-channel video program distributors, and the streaming aggregator of local news content, NewsON. The Company owns, operates and provides services to 185 television stations in 86 markets affiliated with all the various broadcast networks, and owns Tennis Channel and multicast networks Comet, CHARGE!, TBD., and The Nest. The Company also owns and provides services to 21 regional sports network brands.
